Physicians Formula Bamboo Wear Silk Bronzer Refill
We heart Physicians Formula. From shimmer strips that emphasize your eye color to pretty pearlescent powder palettes …this drugstore staple is a staple for us.
The beauty brand has done it again with its Bamboo Wear Silk Bronzer. This bronze powder is 90% natural and infused with BambooSilk, which promises to even skin tone, condition, tone, lift and brighten the complexion, as well as absorb oil for a perfect bronze finish. Simply swirl the bi-colored makeup for a totally “natural” look.
We used the “Medium” shade, a mixture of deep bronze and shimmery gold. We applied it to our cheekbones and swept it across our foreheads, jaw lines and noses. It didn’t look patchy on our skin or settle into our pores or facial creases. It kicked up our makeup a notch and gave us a golden glow. No “orange” look…no problem! Our skin is more on the “dry” side, but this powder did help keep any shine at bay.

Physicians Formula Bamboo Wear Compact and Mirror
Place the recyclable pots above in PF’s Bamboo Wear Compact and Mirror. It is about the size of a small hockey puck and is emblazoned with…what else…a picture of bamboo! Swivel the top of the compact to reveal a full-size mirror and brush. Slide out the bottom and place your powder refills in the compartment. A magnet holds the tiny tins in place to prevent breakage.
This compact isn’t bulky or heavy and the brush is definitely useful on the go. Still, when we’re home, we like to use our full size makeup applicator (Priori anyone?) for more complete coverage. The only downside is that it can be a bit tricky to open both compartments at once and balance the compact in your hand. Other than that, we love the convenience.
