I love the way a well-made mascara is able to blast my blah lashes sky-high. What I don’t love? Clumps. In fact, I can’t stand them!
That’s why I always wipe off the wand first, which I do by scraping it along the edges of the tube. This results in build-up that makes it hard for me to twist the top shut. My mascara dries out quickly and I end up tossing it. Still, I just can’t help myself. I have to scrape a weighed down wand! Old beauty habits die hard, I guess…
So you can imagine my excitement when I received an e-mail about LashControl Lengthening & Conditioning Mascara. The middle of the tube is squeezable, allowing you to wipe excess formula from the brush as you remove it. Genius, right? (Why couldn’t I think of something like this?)
It sounded amazing, but does it actually work? YES!
I truly didn’t need to wipe the wand once I removed it, and I didn’t need to reach for my once-coveted eyelash brush to separate and de-clump my lashes.

What’s more, you can easily control the amount of mascara deposited on the brush. Squeeze just a little for intense drama per swipe, or squeeze a bit more for a natural look that you can build on. (Which is what I like to do.)
The medium-sized brush is big enough to gently grip and lengthen, but not so big that you’re worried about poking your eye out.
And as for the actual formula, I love that it doesn’t look like thick, black tar, and didn’t make my lashes feel stiff or dry. It stayed put all day without flaking, and it washed off easily with warm water at night. No under-eye scrubbing necessary.
