Now that those invitations have started arriving for weddings and other celebrations, here are a few long-lasting makeup tips to keep you looking glowy and gorgeous all summer long.
-
Even out your complexion with a foundation shade that gives a natural finish. Matte skin looks out of place at an outdoor event.

Try: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder Foundation, $29
-
Mineral-based foundations are a great choice for humid days because they stay put and add a slight reflective glow.
-
Add a light sweep of a gold-flecked bronzer to your temples, cheeks, and even your decolletage if you are wearing an open-neck dress or top.

Try: Sonia Kashuk Bare Minimum Pressed Bronzer , $10
-
Apply a creamy, waterproof eye color in a champagne tone from lashline to brows. Next, sweep a soft bronze eyeshadow into the crease and blend well. Then, line your upper lashline with a jewel toned eye pencil that complements your eye color: Hazel and brown eyes sparkle with greens or blues. Blue eyes look even brighter when paired with dark bronze. And green eyes shine with violet shades. Top with two to three coats of waterproof mascara.

Try: Makeup For Ever Aqua Cream for Eyes in Warm Beige, $23

Try: Loreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow in Bronzed Taupe (above) or Continuous Cocoa, $7.00
-
Use a long-wearing lip pencil in a shade slightly deeper than your lips. Line and fill in completely. Then, choose a shimmery lipstick in a soft, sparkling rose or plum and blend. On humid days, skip the gloss altogether.

Try: Revlon ColorStay Lipliner, $7.00 ; and Super Lustrrous Cream Lipstick in Goldpearl Plum (above) or Softsilver Rose, $5.50
