We were tipped off by one of our Facebook followers that Le Petit Nails in Sanford was not your average nail salon. While we had not made the trip out to Sanford since we started this blog, the news that Le Petit Nails' owner, Naomi Gonzalez, was recently featured in an international magazine peaked our interest enough to make the trip.
It was so worth it. Not only is Miss Naomi's work fabulous (she's a true artist who free hands all of her work ... you won't find an airbrush in this salon), but she makes you feel right at home. With mimosas in hand and hot pink polish on my toes, I felt like I just spent the afternoon with a few of my closest friends.

In addition to the fantastic service experience, Le Petit nails is by far the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to. (Read Ji Baek's Rescue Your Nails and you will never look at your neighborhood nail salon the same way!) Naomi doesn't double dip her waxing stick, she doesn't cut your cuticles (both sanitary and better for your nails) and she uses basins instead of those porous plastic (read bacteria-infested) tubs you'll find at a traditional salon.
Another breath of fresh air, Le Petit Nails strives to inform their clients about nail care. Miss Naomi identified our nail problems and told us how to best treat them. Her number one piece of advice: it starts from within. She's all about healthy eating and she also strives to carry environmentally friendly products.
