Fashion Week in DC is upon us and so have been earthquakes, hurricanes and torrential downpours, but nothing can keep the fashion forward ladies of DC away from our ever growing Fashion Week.
Kat Calvin is the brainchild behind LilyPad Events and put on an extravagant event called “The Fabulous Life.” The event treated DC’s trendsetters to manicures of the newest fall colors, eyebrow waxing, make-overs and style image consulting. Let’s not forget delicious catering by Adam Williams, DJ-ing by OC Notes and tons of wine, which was much needed after our flash floods!
Somewhat new to the area, Kat started LilyPad Events (lilypaddc.com) because she did not see a lot of variety in the plethora of events in DC. What she did notice was that we all work a minimum of 60 hours a week and there are very few events for the professionals of the area to pamper themselves with a night of luxury. After 10+ hour work days, it’s time for a little treat and it is Kat’s goal to provide that.
LilyPad Events is already slated to have quarterly parties that will focus on promoting local and up-coming businesses, so stay tuned. Kat’s next event is already in the works, “The Fashionable Life: Winter Wellness Event” is around the corner, it will focus on spas, skincare and yoga. Be on the look out!
