Now that it's getting warmer out, its time to break our shorts out of their dusty winter hiding spot! But what's a new season without a few new pairs for good measure? Kibwe Chase-Marshall, Editor of Women’s Runway & Trend Stylesight, gives GalTime the scoop on the lengths and styles that are guaranteed to show off your gams!
The Long And "Shorts" Of It:
In Your 20s: There’s no better way to highlight your legs than with a pair of hot-shorts. Aged or high-waisted styles are automatic showstoppers. Looking for that extra oomph? Try high-waisted versions in dressy, tailored fabrics, leather, or suede.
Scalloped Suede Shorts, $26.90
In Your 30s: Mid-thigh to right above the knee is the perfect length to keep this look summer-sexy, while still being age appropriate. Pair your shorts with flats for a daytime, then slip into heels for a night on the town.
In Your 40s: Cropped pants are the new shorts for women in their 40s and up. Slim and tailored creates a more structured look, while loose and fluid have a relaxed style. For those summer scorchers, we recommend lightweight washed cottons, or even bermudas!
Warm Weather Winners:
Light n’ Lacey: Lace shorts are a nice alternative to skirts. Pairing them with boyish pieces, like a denim chambray work-shirt, creates a nice balance between sweet and sassy.

Denim: Denim shorts are classic, and a wardrobe staple. Keep your eyes peeled for vintage treatments like hacked hems and 70s inspired, high-waisted styles.
Destroyed Denim Shorts, $17.80
Full Bloom and In Color: Nothing is better than a bright pop of color to spice up your everyday outfit! Another way to bring spring fever to your look is with floral printed denim. Whether it’s paired with a solid top or mixed with another print for that extra contrast, these shorts are a must!
