We know you love your espadrilles, and don't even get us started on those blush-colored peep toes. But why not try something "outside the shoe box" this summer season?
Cool off your tootsies by diving feet first into these 5 head-turning styles. Jenn Tello, Stylesight Footwear Editor, tells GalTime they're perfect for work and play. So go ahead, try them on for size...we think you'll fall head over heels in love!
1.) Mule and Slide Platform Sandal: These shoes are always a summertime favorite. They are quick and easy, making them an ideal choice for women on-the-go. We also love the simplicity of these sandals. From a sundress to a short/blouse combo, they can pull together an outfit in an instant.

2.) The Minimalist Sandal: The perfect go-to item for a night out, the minimalist sandle is a closet staple! It’s a nice alternative to those heavy wedges (which we also love), and adds a touch of elegance to any outfit.

3.) Block Heel/Platform Sandal: For those women that want all the height of stilettos, but the comfort of a flat…look no further. Block-heel/platform sandals are not only easier to walk in, the height won’t kill your feet after a long day of play. Jenn suggests wearing a block heel/ platform sandal with this summer’s must-have pleated skirt! Pump up your look even more by pairing these sandals with a colorful pair of socks.

4.) Platform Loafer: Try turning up the heat with platform loafers. These shoes can be worn with anything; so don’t be afraid to get in touch with your creative side! Penny loafers are also a great option for women who would rather slip into flats.

Jill Stuart Ingrid Leather Loafer-Style Wedges, $178.50
5.) Wedge Sneaker: This is a trend that's been strutting its stuff for months, and is still going strong as we head into summer. The wedge sneaker is a weekend shoe that works wonders with leggings and a tunic.
