Mother's Day is the one day we all stop and show that special lady in our life how amazing she is.
We all know that moms work way too hard, don’t get the proper recognition and rarely take time for themselves, so, whether that special lady is your mother, your sister or your best friend - finding that perfect gift that shows just how much you appreciate and admire her seems almost impossible.
Sure, flowers are nice, chocolate is fine, but I am going to show you how to turn that 2nd Sunday in May into a really special day. This is more than just a gift basket filled with pampering spa and beauty products. This is a gift filled with fun and irreplaceable memories!
This Mother’s Day is going to be special because you and your mother, your sister, or your best friend are going to create your own at-home spa day with mini-facials, manicures and pedicures, laughs and giggles.

STEP 1: PREPARE: Stock up on a few special indulgences, like a couple of aromatherapy candles, a box of Epsom salts, a loofah, shea butter balm, her favorite skin care treatments (exfoliator, clay mask and moisturizer), her favorite type of tea and truffles . And don’t forget to get some extra batteries for your camera!

STEP 2: HAVE FUN: Invite your guest or even a few special moms over for an incredible day of relaxation, pampering and fun! Fill a couple large bowls or basins with warm to hot water. Pour in a half cup of Epsom salts. Use one for soaking your feet, and the other for your hands. Let your guests help set everything up – that is part of the fun.
Take turns. While one is soaking their feet, the other can soak their hands. Sip a nice cup of tea, share stories and tell each other what you appreciate about them most. After a while, use the loofah to remove rough, dry skin. Towel dry and massage in the shea butter balm. Then, switch places.
Now, make another pot of tea, placing your face over the steam (not too close, you don’t want to get burned). Allow the steam to open the pores and release the impurities. Next, splash your faces with warm water. Exfoliate your skin to remove the dull, lifeless skin cells.

Follow with the clay mask – try applying it to each other. While letting it sit for fifteen minutes, tell more stories, have fun and laugh it up. Let’s face it, you both will look pretty funny with the mask on. Actually, this is the perfect photo-op! Rinse away the mask and apply the moisturizer to finish the facial treatment.
Enjoy more tea with your truffles, while you sit and continue to share stories.
STEP 3: SHARE THE MEMORIES: What mom wouldn’t end the day feeling so spoiled, pampered, and most importantly – appreciated. You don’t want to forget this special time, so make sure to email the photos and post them on Facebook for everyone to see! Happy Mother’s Day!
