When it comes to fashion, rock and roll often sets the style. Now, Andy Hilfiger is combining his passion for both fashion and rock and roll in his new clothing lines, Andrew Charles Collection and RIFF. He recently launched the line personally in Atlanta.
The Andrew Charles Collection was created with rocker Steven Tyler and is fun and flashy enough for teens to want to wear, but also offers classy pieces that even this 40-ish mom of four can appreciate. And the details make the line, from the ‘guitar pick star’ on snaps to the tags hanging from the jeans that look more like concert tickets. Hilfiger also is launching the RIFF line which features logos from bands that we rocked to in the 80’s and 90’s. The Rolling Stones and Guns n’ Roses are just two that jumped out at me. He had to acquire special licensing for these.
And there’s the Rock Scarf, my personal favorite part of the line. Hiliger said it was his favorite, too. As he launched the lines at Macy’s around the US, he threw parties that included live performances from The Click Clack Band. It’s pretty cool to be rockin’ in a Macy’s store with a band that makes you want to stop and dance. And here’s the coolest part—Hilfiger grabbed his guitar and jumped in with them. Check out his performance in the store by watching the video below. Want to see more? Click the link here.
