Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sold a $39,000 alligator backpack from the new handbag line for their fashion label, The Row.
Ashley told WWD that despite these uncertain economic times, luxury items still seem to perform well:
"It was the first thing that sold off the shelf. During our last economic crisis in the U.S., the only thing that went up was Hermes."
But...an animal skin purse? Definitely controversial!
