Selena Gomez's alleged stalker, Thomas Brodnicki, has been released from jail.
The man was put behind bars after he reportedly told a therapist that God ordered him to kill Selena. Scary to learn, but the stalking case has now been dismissed because there was not enough evidence against him.
Los Angeles County District Attorney spokesperson Sandi Gibbons told E! News:
"After a preliminary hearing the judge over our strong objection ruled that the defendant lacked the intent to cause fear to the victim and dismissed the case. We are evaluating our next step."
There's still a temporary restraining order in place that forbids Brodnicki to go within 100 yards of the 19-year-old star. No word yet on whether or not that will become permanent.
