She may be a comedian, but this is no joke... Roseanne Barr has filed official papers to run for the Green Party's nomination for President of the United States.
Barr says she's the Democrats and Republicans aren't working in the best interests of the country.
She announced the launch of her campaign on Twitter yesterday:
"I am running for Green Party nominee for POTUS," the comedian said Thursday on Twitter. "I am an official candidate. I am4 the Greening of America&the world. Green=peace/justice."
The actual paperwork was registered with the Federal Election Commission on Jan. 25. Barr faces 3 other Green Party hopefuls... and believe it or not, she doesn't expect to win. She's telling her Twitter followers that she fully expects "Jill Stein 2b the nominee."
Barr's causes:
"#Europeanstyle" single-payer healthcare and "... kicking out the FED-those to whom all this fake debt is owed."
