Whitney Houston’s autopsy is complete, but TMZ reports the cause of death will be deferred pending a toxicology report, which generally takes 4-6 weeks.
Though nothing is certain, it appears as though Whitney fell asleep and drowned in the bathtub in her hotel room.
Authorities believe it may have been a combo of Xanax and alcohol that caused the singer to lapse into a state of unconsciousness, but sources say it’s “too early to draw any firm conclusions”.
