Large-scale or small-scale, arts festivals are a hot-spot this summer. Not only are they a fun activity in the sun for people of all ages, but often they offer live music, mouth-watering food, and local fine art originals at affordable prices that may be the perfect thing to add a fresh, new perspective to your home. It is important to remember that local arts festivals are also the perfect way to gain exposure for your business in a relaxed and positive atmosphere.

The perks to large-scale arts festivals include famous musical artists, and a bigger variety of activities as well as the obvious space for picnics and Frisbee throwing.

Small-scale arts festivals also have a lot to offer. You have more time to speak with local artists who are selling their work. Small festivals often make it easier to keep an eye on your children if you brought them, and allows you to avoid the stressful search for parking surrounding larger events.

New York City will host the American Crafts Festival at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts from June 11 - 12 as well as June 18 - 19. There is a large variety of original art that will be shown including jewelry, clothing, pottery, paintings,  and glass sculpture. There are even animals for children to see and hands-on activities. The American Crafts Festival always produces diverse art and passionate artists that are major factors in a memorable summer day.

The West Hampton Festival of the Arts will be hosted by St. Marks Church from September 3 - 4. The festival is ranked 91st in the top one hundred of the Art Fair Sourcebook. It will feature talent in many types of art, and though this is a more formal art show, the fun will come from the visual bliss in seeing breathtaking original pieces of art that could add color and personality to any room in your home.

You can choose to venture to a big bustling arts festival with A-list performers and funnel cake stands on every corner, or a culture-rich local arts festival with hands-on activities and charming vendors, or even make the most of your summer with many arts festivals of all sizes. Chances are, you will have a wonderful day while simultaneously supporting the arts in your area.
