RITMO Y SABOR AT THE LATIN LOUNGE & RESTAURANT
The Latin band Ritmo Y Sabor will be playing tonight at Latin Lounge & Restaurant starting at 10 p.m. Ritmo Y Sabor is raising money for one of their band members who has been diagnose with Brain Tumors. This is a family friendly event. Ritmo Y Sabor has been together for almost seven years. They have open for big acts like Aventura, Los Fulanitos, Eddie Santiago and many more. Ritmo Y Sabor (Rhythm and Flavor in English) adds a twist to their songs. They sing songs like Hotel California but with a Spanish beat. So please come out and support this cause. BROADWAY MUSICAL HIT HAIRSPRAY
Jacksonville, get ready to watch the Broadway musical show Hairspray! Florida State College at Jacksonville, is hosting the hit musical show this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hairspray is based on 1988 John Waters’ film with the same name. Hairspray takes place in the 1960’s era, address breaking down the barriers of racial segregation. Hairspray will take you back in time with a mix of 1960’s music and dance moves that will make you want to get up and dance! Doors open at 8 p.m. For ticket information check out Artist Series.
COMEDIAN STEVE-O AT THE COMEDY ZONE
Steve-O (a.ka. Stephen Glover) comedy act “The Entirely Too Much Information Tour” will be presenting himself at the Comedy Zone in the Ramada Inn this Friday and Saturday. Steve-O stepped into the spot light with MTV hit reality stunt show “Jackass” in 2000. He also appeared in ABC’S Dancing With The Stars in 2009. AMELIA ISLAND REGGAE SUN SPLASH
SunSplash Music Festival is a free beach music festival that will be held at Amelia Island this Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. Come and enjoy a day full of music with bands like Klab, Charlie Crews, Hupp and Ray, The Resolvers, Spred the Dub and much more. Kids will enjoy activities like petting zoo, a station for rock star hairdos and tattoos, face paining, arts and crafts and much more. For driving direction check out SunSplash Music Festival.
