DC's Hard Rock Cafe renamed October 'Pinktober' in honor of their breast cancer awareness campaign. For the past three years Hard Rock Cafe's 'Pinktober' has raised over $30,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness. The music industry as a whole has raised a staggering 80 million.
On Thursday, October 6 the Hard Rock Café joined with Pink Jams Organization and Hot 99.5 to host a benefit concert with Pia Toscano, a contestant from Season 10 of American Idol. Pia's elimination was considered to be one of the most shocking eliminations in Idol history and after hearing her belt out those tunes it was very easy to see why. To help in the fight against breast cancer, Pia generously donated one of her most famous American Idol dresses to the Hard Rock, DC.
God Lord, does that woman have some great pipes on her! What an angelic singing voice, not to mention her stunning good looks and effervecient personality. No wonder she has already been signed to Interscope Records.
At such a young age Pia Toscano has proven herself not only to be a huge talent in the music industry, but also to be a generous giver when it comes to the needs of other women. It is easy to see her following in the footsteps of other great Idol alums as Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and Carrie Underwood.
