Happy Birthday, America! Fourth of July is the biggest birthday party in America, and we, Americans, love to celebrate. There are always so many great parades, picnics, backyard barbeques, festivals, and, of course, magnificent fireworks displays to choose from! Fourth of July to me always means a slice of watermelon in one hand and a hamburger in the other.
If you are looking for good old-fashioned American fun in Seattle, the you should check out the Family 4th at Lake Union Park presented by Starbucks, which has been a tradition since 1988, nearly 25 years! The festivities will be held in both Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park from noon until the fireworks at dark. Make sure you arrive early to get a good viewing spot and so that you don’t miss out on the fun activities.
This Fourth of July celebration involves many family fun activities; such as, kite making, face-painting, sack races, a hula-hoop contest, a giant inflatable play center, a zip line, and much more! Also for the adults, there is a beer garden, trivia, live entertainment, and free samples of Starbucks Refreshers! Both Gas Works and Lake Union parks will broadcast synchronized patriotic music alongside the fireworks!
Happy and Safe Fourth of July Everyone!
