The San Francisco Zoo's July Events!
The San Francisco Zoo's July Events!

Lions, tigers and bears, OH MY!  So much to see, so little time, especially this month at the zoo. If you are looking for a way to make the trip memorable, you should plan a visit around your favorite zoo’s special events. This month there are some fun happenings at the San Francisco Zoo, including a Teddy Bear Festival and a BikeAbout cycling tour!

If you have young children, then stop by July 14th and 15th for the San Francisco Zoo’s annual Teddy Bear Festival from 10 am to 4 pm! The event features puppets, story time, crafts, and meet and greet with the Berenstain Bears. In addition, make sure you stop by the polar bear and grizzly bear exhibits to make it a bear-y special day.

Another featured event in July that is great for all ages is the BikeAbout cycling tour! How many people can say they passed a giraffe on their morning bike ride? Pack your family and bikes for a ride that is sure to be memorable as the San Francisco Zoo opens its gates early for a docent-led BikeAbout cycling tour. This is a unique way to see the zoo, especially since you can see the tigers before they have had their first cup of coffee, and is a great idea for the whole family. The next schedule BikeAbout is July 21st from 8:30 to 10 am. Fees are $18 for SFZS members and $23 for non-members. Other BikeAbout dates can be found throughout the year.
