Make More Interesting Mojitos

Mojitos are a refreshing summer beverage. Rum and mint aren't the only ingredients to make a great mojito.

Lead Bartender, Christine Misuria, of Peacock Alley at Waldorf Astoria Orlando shared some of her delicious recipes with us.

The Traditional Waldorf Astoria Mojito

  • 2 oz Bacardi Rum

  • 2 oz Simple Syrup

  • Muddled: ½ Lime, 10 Mint leaves

  • 7 oz Club Soda

  • Sugar Cane Stick

Muddle lime and mint with the simple syrup in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and pour Bacardi and Club soda Shake vigorously. Pour into Mojito glass and garnish with sugar cane stick and lime.

The 10-Cane Blood Orange Mojito - "The Sunshine"

  • 2 oz 10-Cane Rum

  • ½ oz Simple Syrup

  • 6 Fresh Mint Leaves

  • ½ Lime

  • 7 oz Club Soda

  • Blood Orange Slices*

  • Sugar Cane Stick

Muddle mint, blood orange, limes with the simple syrup in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and pour 10-Cane Rum. Club Soda and Shake vigorously and finish into glass.

*When blood oranges aren't in season, Christine says you can substitute the Monin Blood Orange syrup.

The Celebration Mojito

  • 2 oz Leblon Cachaça

  • ½ oz Simple Syrup

  • 1 oz Sparkling Wine

  • ¼ oz Cedilla Acai Liqueur

  • 3 Strawberries cut in fourths

  • 2 Lemon wedges

Muddle the fruit with the simple syrup in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and pour Leblon Cachaça. Shake vigorously. Strain into a flute, top with the Sparkling wine and finish with Cedilla Acai.
