I visited Orlando Brewing a few times before we started AMPlified Culture. Naturally, it has been on our to-do list for an entire year. Well, we finally made it and we are SO glad we did, because it was here where we learned that the taste of beer comes from yeast poop. (You'll have to go on the tour to truly understand how that works.)
Orlando Brewing company is Florida’s only certified organic brewery. It is located in an industrial part of Orlando giving it a totally unique feel. They often use their parking lot for [music] shows. They have wide open space that says “come on in and have a great time!” The brewery has free tours Monday through Saturday at 6 p.m. Despite the fact that we arrived there long after 6 o'clock, the absolutely charming Devin Chapnick, assistant brewer at Orlando Brewing, gave AMPlified Culture the VIP tour.

On our tour we learned that Orlando Brewing brews 18 beers as well as seasonal beers. Devin walked us through the whole beer making process from the barley and hops to the yeast poop and then of course the best part – tasting! A lot goes into brewing quality beer, from quality ingredients (I may or may not have eaten a handful of raw chocolate barley) and temperature control to passionate people. We won’t give away any more info on the brewing process— we want you to go experience the tour for yourself. (We also want to avoid butchering the very scientific process. It’s best left to the experts.)
Orlando Brewing is run almost entirely by volunteers. Incredible people from the Central Florida community come out to help brew and serve beer. Their hard work has made this local business a thriving part of the Central Florida community
