These are just a few of the winners of the 2011 RAMMY Awards given by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington Sunday night at the Marriott Wardman Park.
Over 1,600 chefs, restaurateurs, insiders and general foodies filled the hotel’s ballrooms to honor achievements and excellence in the DC restaurant industry. Check out the other winners here.
Pre-awards show, guests sipped cocktails and sampled oysters from the oyster bar. And it wouldn’t be a proper industry party if there weren’t a feast to celebrate with after the awards show. In lieu of a seated dinner, guests were served theater-style, fitting for this year’s “Carnavale da Cuisine” theme. The ballroom was fitted with stations serving cuisine from Australia, Chile, Cuisine Solutions, Mexico and the Nordic Partners (which includes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden).
Along the way, mixologists and bartenders served up cocktails representative of each country or region.
