The date is August 15th, and that can only mean one thing; DC BEER WEEK 2011 has begun. A week filled with delicious craft beer supplied at all your favorite local haunts. This week long extravaganza thrown by Teddy Folkman, the executive chef at Granville Moore’s, is designed to bring local craft beer to the palates of thirsty DC residents. From August 14th-21st you can sample beer from breweries such as Star Hill, Port City, Widmer Bros, Flying Dog, and the Great Lakes Brewing Company just to name a few of the many amazing craft beer artisans. The events range from weeklong craft beer discounts, to meet and greets with the head brewers of some of the United States most popular breweries. So what are you waiting for? Drink up!
