In addition to being juicy and flavorsome, mangos can help prevent cancer, promote eye health, and aid in digestion. Besides health benefits, this fruit clears and brightens your complexion and can improve your memory. Mangos also help normalize insulin levels in diabetics and provide a good source of iron to people with anemia. (lifemojo.com) This summer fruit is extremely versatile and can be enjoyed with many different kinds of food and drinks.

Enjoy a reprieve from the hot Phoenix sun and unwind with a cool mango margarita!

Mango Margarita (from The Free People Blog)

 

Puree Ingredients:

1 Mango

¼ Cup Orange Juice

2 Tbsp Lime Juice

1 Tbsp Agave

Margarita Ingredients:

¼ Cup Puree

¾ Cup Orange Juice

1 Tbsp Lime Juice

1 Shot Tequila

Margarita Salt

Chili Powder

Directions:

Blend puree ingredients together using a blender or food processor.

Spread out your margarita salt and a sprinkle with chili powder.

 

Pour some water onto a small plate, and dip the rim of your glass to get it wet. Then dip the wet rim into your margarita salt to line the rim.

 

Place puree, orange juice, lime juice, and tequila in a cocktail shaker and shake.

Pour into glass, garnish and serve
