Top 5 Cafes to Try in Knoxville | Food

Top 5 Cafes to Try in Knoxville
Top 5 Cafes to Try in Knoxville

If you’re looking for a good place to pick up a cup of coffee or somewhere to chill out with your girlfriends, we’ve had a look around and we now know exactly where you should head to. Cafes are the perfect spot to grab a quick coffee to go, rendezvous with the girlfriends for book group, or meet for a date with your latest crush.

We came, we tasted and we conquered (Knoxville’s coffee scene, that is).  Here are our top five picks.

1. Old City Java

Old City is a chic little joint and there’s no wonder it’s made the top of our list.  It has great coffee and delectable baked goods.  Moreover, it has plenty of sockets so you can camp out with your laptop all afternoon if you fancy it!  The service is friendly, the décor charming and the vibe upbeat, so you tell us: what’s not to love?  This coffee shop can be found at 109 S Central St., Knoxville, so go check it out!

2. Coffee & Chocolate

As its name suggests, this place specializes in both coffee and chocolate -- what could be better?  A great little nook, be sure to make a trip over to 327 Union Ave

Knoxville if you haven’t already for a quick cup of coffee and a few truffles.

3. The Cup

This is a quiet but quaint little spot that has worked out how to make a really good cup of coffee and there isn’t much more to say… apart from the fact that they make arguably the best cupcakes in town! Our favorite pick: the red velvet cupcake. Located on 5508 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, it’s well worth a visit!

4. Café 4

Although the restaurant itself brags excellent food, we couldn’t help but be drawn to the café and bakery just off to the side and for good reason.  What we found was some real sweet treats that should not be passed up.  So nab a seat outside for a bit of people watching while you nibble away at Café 4’s finest.  This sweet spot is on 4 Market Sq, Knoxville, so go try it out and let us know what you think!

5. Mojoe’s Trailside Coffeehouse

Although small, this place is packed with good stuff you won’t want to miss out on, ranging from a good ol’ cup of coffee to their fresh cherry berry muffins.  You can find this little gem on 2920 Sutherland Ave., Knoxville

So whether you’re lagging and need a cup of coffee, or are just looking for a place to hang out, try out one of these spots!
