We at GalTime have come to accept that there are not many certainties in life. However, there is one thing that we can all agree on: nothing beats a good sandwich. Sinking your teeth through the layer of bread to uncover the flavors and textures that lie beneath is so simple and yet can be so delicious; do not underestimate the power of a good sandwich.
Whether you’re a simple sub kinda gal or prefer a more gourmet creation, sandwiches are a staple. And what we have come to find: the more adventurous, the more exciting, the more delicious. We like lots of veggies, differing types of meat with a sauce or two on some toasted slices of bread.
Conversely, nothing is worse than a bad sandwich, so don’t waste your time (or money) on a mediocre meal! It’s time to abandon the peanut butter-and-jelly of your childhood packed lunches and embrace the kind of sandwich you deserve. Start your sandwich search by checking out our top local picks and try something new!
Top of our list is Love Lane Kitchen. This gourmet food market cooks up some of the best sandwiches around. We really enjoyed the Chicken Guacamole and Bacon and their Prosciutto Sandwich but you’re in good hands here at the Love Lane Kitchen, so try whatever takes your fancy! Stop by for a quick bite at 240 Love Ln, Mattituck, NY 11952 and feel free to give them a call at (631) 298-8989 with any questions you might have.
Wendy’s Sound Ave Deli is another one of our favorites. If asked to describe this place in three words, we would probably say: big, cheap and delicious. And to be honest, there’s not a lot more we need to say. These hearty subs are simple, classic and make for good eats! You can find this place on 55 Route 48, Mattituck, NY 11952 or give them a ring at (631) 298-1500.
Finally, if you haven’t been to Grateful Deli yet, you really need to get yourself over there. This place is a classic deli with a smart twist. The fresh and clean interior is indicative of the approach they have adopted towards their food. Their ingredient list is extensive, including our favorite: avocado, and they have a selection of pre-prepared wraps for you to grab when in a hurry. They’re located on 55700 Route 25, Southold, NY 11971, but if you’ve still got some lingering questions, call them on (631) 765-6408.
