Ah, the sweaters and boots have come out of the closet. We’re sipping hot chocolate and we’re making the fires. The Holiday season is here Knoxville! What makes you feel in the Holiday spirit? For me it is the lights, the ornaments, the candy canes, and the egg nog. Need I go on? So how can you enjoy the holiday’s here in Knoxville? Besides watching holiday flicks or baking cookies, there are some events going on in your community!
This year marks the 26th anniversary of ‘The Fantasy of Trees’. This year’s theme is “Holly Jolly Christmas” which you can be a part of. Running from November 24-28, 2010, there is something for every member of your family. There are a variety of things for the children, ranging from decorating crafts to riding holiday rides! Check out their calendar to be a part of their array of festivities. All monies made at the “Fantasy of Trees” will be donated to the Children’s Hospital.
Of course the fun doesn’t end there! Knoxville’s Christmas in the City has events all month long. Go ice skating in downtown Knoxville with the family or be a part of the Fowler’s Christmas parade. Engage yourself in the traditional Nutcracker on Ice down at the Ice Chalet. Be sure to check out the calendar.
Regardless of the night you have free to enjoy these festivities, be sure to spend time with the ones you love. What are your plans for this Holiday season?
