It seems most things pair well with a good bottle of wine: chocolate, a perfectly cooked steak, cheese and paint. Yes, paint! Who doesn’t feel their creative juices start to flow after a few glasses? Add some of your favorite girlfriends and you have got yourself a perfect evening brought to you by Brushes and a Bottle. Previous experience is not necessary. All you need is an appetite for good local wine, delicious appetizers and art.
This trend of painting while sipping is spreading across the nation and you don’t have to travel far to experience it. Most of the people who sign up to take this 2 hour class have never painted before. The first step is to go online and pick a painting from their calendar and register for that class. You will receive step-by-step instructions on how to paint and at the end of the night you will have a beautiful souvenir to keep.
Brushes and a Bottle is a great idea to bring together girlfriends for a birthday party, bachelorette party, fundraisers, or just a girls night out. Be sure to check their website for the classes offered, which include events at Frost Me Sweet for children (“Cupcake and a Canvas”) this Sunday at 2pm. For only $20, children get to snack on a delicious Frost Me Sweet Cupcake and paint! That’s good use of a sugar high if I’ve have ever heard one. Other classes this month include painting inspired by the Poppy at Market Vineyards and Magnolia at Frost Me Sweet. Registration is easy and usually cost only $40 for a very special night. If you cannot attend one of their events, private parties are also available.
We all have art hanging in our homes, so why not paint something that has laughs, memories and maybe a wine stain to make you remember the good times you had with a bottle and some brushes.
