Nothing screams party season more than warm weather and increased sunlight. With these feelings coming upon us, it is no surprise that Yahoo!’s search results include a vast amount of party related topics. Variations on the regular party are amongst the most popular. No surprise considering how so many special events are thrown during these upcoming months. Weddings encompass a number of get-togethers such as bachelorette and bachelor parties, in addition to the expected reception. Not to mention bridal showers, the list could go on and on.
If you’re coming up short on a few different ideas for such events, I have some of my own personal favorites listed below. With this list of my top three favorite party types, your next shindig will most definitely be off the charts!
1. Toga, toga! Yes, it’s cliché. Yes, it’s been done. Yes, it is still that much fun that it needs to be redone as often as possible. Who could ever say no to guys and gals dressed in a variety of colored sheets with faux wreaths on their heads and age-old wine pouring from the faucets? What can be done to bring this to the next level? Have it outside with fresh barbecue and, if possible (and safe), a bonfire, and that will be a party for the ages
2. Bring it back in time! What exactly do I mean, you may ask? Well, bring it back to a favorite decade and watch the good times roll! Who wouldn’t love to get dressed up in neon spandex with big, outrageous hair, and some leg warmers while rocking out to Billy Idol and a-Ha? I for one would hope for that party to never end! So just choose a decade and relive the memories (or create some new ones of your own).
3. Sing your hearts out! You can guess what’s next…karaoke! This classic party staple is enough to have a party around. Have it as the center of attention while guests give it their all, filling the room with tons of laughter and joy. Bop your heads, shake your hips, and have a good ol’ time at this party!
