Los Angeles blogger, Tania Reuben of Pure and Natural Diva, is having a milestone birthday this year, and with this milestone birthday, she has a birthday wish. This wish is big: it’s to house and feed 20 people for 20 nights at the LA Mission/Union Rescue Mission, and on a national level, the NAEHCY organization.
In Los Angeles alone, the shelters have seen an increase in women and children coming to their doors by 55% just in the last year. The needs are continuing to rise because of the economy, the cost of living keeps going up, and any other obstacles that come in the way.
What’s great about these three organizations is that they also help those that are homeless get on their feet again, and give them the skills and help they need to get off the streets after taking part in the program.
Tania’s wish, and her goal is to enlist those within her inner circle, and from those 50 people, ignite them to also ignite 3 other people to donate $20 and have those 3 do the same. Friends will look to their group of friends, from facebook, from work, from family, to also help donate to help care for 20 people for 20 nights at the LA Mission and the Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles. And on a national level, the NAEHCY organization.
To feed and care for one person at the LA Mission and Union Rescue Mission is about 40 dollars a day. Just think, if you take the time to donate 20 dollars, you’ve taken care of half their care for one day.
And imagine the possibilities if there is an organization out there that is also willing to get involved in the cause?
