NFL Wives Offer Tips For Skinnier Super Bowl Parties
NFL Wives Offer Tips For Skinnier Super Bowl Parties

No one probably knows the pressure of throwing a great Super Bowl party better than NFL wives. We spoke with Ingrid and Sarah Harbaugh, the wives of NFL head coaches (not to mention brothers and rivals) Jim and John Harbaugh. They will be watching the big game this year and offer other hosts some tips on how to tackle a stress-free and healthier party on Sunday.

  • Intercept Planning Stress--make a shopping list and take advantage of sales and coupons at your local grocery store well before game day

  • Kick off a Potluck Party--have your guests bring their favorite football foods and snacks and divide up the duties by quarter

  • Tackle Cravings--game parties are notorious for fried foods and fatty appetizers, mix it up by having healthier options on hand like veggies and pretzels

  • Make Smart Plays--don't be afraid to substitute greek yogurt for sour cream or low-fat cheese for your cheeseburgers

In addition to these tips the Harbaugh women have teamed up this year with the Skinny Cow Brand and are auctioning off 25 candy bowls full of Skinny Cow candies, with all proceeds going to one of their favorite charities--Curesearch for Children's Cancer.
