Have you heard of Fit Chef Katy? Perhaps you’ve seen her on Season 7 of Food Network Star. But if you haven’t, no worries, you’re going to hear about her now.
Fit Chef Katy is a Food and Lifestyle Fitness Coach within the Los Angeles area. She takes on the motto of not to be skinny and fit, but to become strong and fit. With this mentality, and adding food and fitness to the spectrum, a healthier lifestyle is possible for anyone.
Fit Chef Katy has always been athletic. Since she was a small child, she threw herself into sports and cheerleading. However, she didn’t always have a love for cooking, that only began to blossom during college when she had the opportunity to go to Costa Rica. By surrounding herself with the women of Costa Rica, and immensely herself in the possibilities of cooking, this is where her love of food truly began.
In college, she continued her studies of Sociology, and on the side, took on cooking classes by offering services of becoming a dishwasher. Beyond that, she would practice her cooking skills by making desserts and bringing them to any of the parties she attended. She was coined the nickname, “Dessert lady.”
After college, Fit Chef Katy headed to China, where she spent 10 years of her life. While she was in China she opened a Restaurant called, “The Silver Spoon.” She eventually sold it, and moved back to LA, where she entered the world of mommy hood. Today, she has 3 beautiful children.
Of course, the world of mommy hood did not stop Fit Chef Katy. She had a 9 week program called, “Look I can Cook,” which was featured in LAsBest. It was a program designed around cooking with kids. Along with her program, she began to partake in fitness shows, where she got out the spray tan, and the high heels, and just had a blast within the world of fitness.
And then the opportunity of becoming a part of Food Network Star came to her. Through Food Network Star, Fit Chef Katy was formed.
Today, Fit Chef Katy is a food and lifestyle fitness coach where she is educating people on the nutritional items out there, but also in how to live a healthier lifestyle.
She has a variety of programs available. One such program is called, “Beautiful You.” Not only do you learn how to have a healthier lifestyle, but you also learn to know your body, and love your body. This is where she teaches women that they can be stylish and hip, wear makeup, takes care of the inside while being beautiful on the outside. A similar program called, “Just be You” designed for teenagers focuses upon her motto of not being just skinny and thin, but to be strong and fit.
In the end, when it comes to Fit Chef Katy, she has 3 rules she follows, and also expects those that come to her to follow too. These rules are: 1) Be Sweaty 2) Breathe Heavy and 3) You should be sore the next day.
