Watching the Olympic games has been exhilarating, exciting, and inspiring, but it’s also been a bit of a reminder as to how much time we spend sitting and watching the champions perform and how little time we spend on our feet, outdoors, or at the gym. That said, we’re working ladies, so we’re cutting ourselves some slack but the summer games are a great booster for our workout regimen. And that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go put in the requisite hours on the treadmill, day after day. The great aspect of the Olympic games is that there’s every event you could possibly imagine, and every Olympian’s body reflects their hard work—we just want a slice of that, too!

So now that we’ve had a chance to admire Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps’ very toned bodies, we’ve gone on to enjoying some of the other aquatic competitions, including synchronized swimming and diving. Now is the perfect time to try out a new sport to keep your summertime athletics going, fueled by the Olympics inspiration, and the weather will certainly make you want to jump in the water! So check out some of these underwater classes, or even regular swimming classes—whether you’re more comfortable in the kiddy pool or you’re a fish out of water, all of these classes will be enjoyable during the hot summer months.
