We're all a little bit Irish when it comes to celebrating St. Patrick's Day! With wee bit o' time and a few extra touches, it's easy to incorporate some green and gold into your life.

Mint Oreo Brownies: Take brownie mix to a new level with a few simple ingredients-- vanilla frosting, green food coloring, a few drops of peppermint extract and a cup and a half of crumbled mint Oreos. Simply mix 1 cup of the cookie crumbles into the brownie mix and bake as usual. Pump up the delish factor by frosting the brownies. Mix a tub of vanilla frosting with a few drops of green food coloring, a tsp of peppermint extract and the remaining 1/2 cup of cookie crumbles.

Leprechaun's Gold: Make that magical leprechaun treasure yourself with some gold spray paint and large stones. Simply spray paint the rocks gold, using a light mist and back and forth motion. After you've coated the front and back of the stones, you can use black acrylic paint to write words or make a shamrock. You can also write the names of you favorite "lads and lasses" to personalize them for the kids.

St. Pat's Day Shamrock Card: A paper punch and some baker's twine take a plain card from boring to darling. Punch 7 (lucky 7!) shamrocks out of green patterned paper. Glue the shamrocks to a piece of baker's twine to make a small shamrock banner. Inexpensive blank cards (read: pack of 8 cards from the $1 bin) from the craft store complete the project. For something special-- handwrite or print a Irish saying or poem inside.

Green Glass Vase: Got glass bottles in your recycling? Then you've got the makings of a vase! Use a green bottle in honor of St. Pat's Day. Pick up a container of Armor Etch at the crafts store. With a paper punch, punch a shamrock out of contact paper and use the negative space as a stencil. Affix it to the bottle and generous apply Armor Etch for 5 minutes. Rinse off with water and voila'... you have a vase.

Green Tulips: You've heard of green eggs and ham... but green tulips? Grab a bunch of flowers at the grocery store and trim the stems. Color some water with a green food coloring and let the tulips soak up the water overnight. The next morning you'll have St. Pat's day flowers.
