HOLIDAY PLANNING & ORGANIZING = HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

December is usually a month that can be stressful, overwhelming and financially crushing.
But it is also a month that most of us LOVE!  We love being able to buy things for our loved ones, decorate our homes, go to parties, see and hear from people we don't see often and spend Christmas together.
To prevent the stress from ruining your holidays try these simple steps:
womanwithpresentsandlist1) Make lists
a) One of what you are buying/bought for gifts
b) One of the events you have and if you have to bring a gift or food item
c) One of all the things you would or need to accomplish this month.
2) Try to stay ahead of the game.
a) Wrap your gifts as soon as you get them home. You don't have to worry about anyone seeing them and they are finished.
b) There are many cookies, desserts and foods that you can prepare ahead of time and freeze.
c) Get your pictures taken and get your cards ordered soon.
d) Keep your cards, pictures, address book altogether and keep with you. You can work on them while waiting at Doctors etc.
3) Clean as you go.
a) When unpacking your Christmas decorations, sort it. If there is something you haven't put up in 2 years - get rid of it.
b) If lights are broken and don't work, pitch them
c) Someone gave it to you, but you don't like it?  Donate it.
4) Remember: One in - One out.  If you are getting new toys, clothes, electronics....what are you getting rid of?
