The official Royal stamps celebrating William and Kate's wedding will feature their engagement portraits taken by photographer Mario Testino. The stamps were unveiled this morning, one month exactly before the big day (April 29, 2011). Though Prince William's image has appeared on a stamp three times, these are the first commemorative versions ever issued to mark the wedding of one of the Queen's grandchildren.
"We believe that this set of stamps will be very popular with people both in the UK and around the world," said Stephen Agar of Royal Mail.
The stamps go on sale April 21.
