In Episode 8 of "The Bachelor," Ben Flajnik goes home with the remaining four Bachelorettes: Lindzi, Kacie, Nicki and Courtney. Ben gets to meet their families and gain some insight into the lives. There are some dramatic moments with parents and a mock wedding ceremony with Courtney. In the end, Ben can only hand out three roses, leaving a jilted Bacehlorette wailing "What the (Bleep)!"
GalTime: It's the "Hometown Date" episode... and we're down to four Bachelorettes-- where do you think the tension level is for Ben?
Jesse: He is probably a bit nervous... "Oh, I am dating your daughter. Can I have her hand in marriage? Oh, by the way-- I am dating three other girls!
GT: First up-- Ben spends the day with Lindzi in Ocala, Florida. What did you think about Lindzi's family and their feelings about Ben?
Jesse: I think Lindzi is the whole package: fun, down to earth and her parents are cool.
GT: Lindzi lets Ben "in" and shares with him that her last relationship left her with a broken heart and that she's afraid. Was that the right thing for her to do?
Jesse: Being honest and open is always the best.
GT: Bachelorette Kacie greets Ben in her hometown of Clarksville, Tennessee with quite a bit of fanfare-- twirling baton and all... (not to mention the marching band). Fun or overkill?
Jesse: Being yourself is key. It seems like that is "who she is," so good for her but it's overkill in my book.
GT: Kacie has been a front runner from the beginning.
Jesse: Kacie's overbearing mom and dad put the nail in her coffin!
GT: What was your reaction to Kacie's father?
Jesse: It reminded me of the "Meet the Fockers" movie. Sorry dad, but your daughter has probably spent the night with a boy before. It's 2012 not 1950. I'm just saying...
GT: Next stop... Fort Worth, Texas to catch up with Nicki (the divorcee). She takes him on a big old shopping spree and makes him into a cowboy.
Jesse: She seems fun, but I can't see her with Ben. I think he wants a girl who hasn't been married.
GT: They saved the best-- or at least the most controversial bachelorette-- for last... Courtney! In her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona, Courtney's own Mom reveals that even she is skeptical about whether her daughter is in love with Ben. Thoughts?
Jesse: I think Courtney gets her nonsense from her dad. He says marriage is a gamble... but, "But by the way, I want some grandkids... can you help me out?" REALLY DUDE?
GT: What did you think when Courtney shared her feelings about Ben in a pretend wedding? And what about her “I feel disappointed in myself for treating the girls the way I did” confession?
Jesse: It's little too late, Courtney.
GT: Although he is torn up about his feelings for the four women-- of course one gal has to be sent home. What did you think about Ben's choice? Kacie seemed pretty suprised and upset, crying and exclaiming "What the (Bleep)!" among other things.
Jesse: I would not want to argue with parents about where I'm gonna live or if I can spend the night with my fiance, either. No one wants an in-law telling them what they are gonna do. Sorry Kacie!
GT: Who is your favorite of the remaining three?
Jesse: Lindzi
