Watch out Demi Moore. Marrying Ashton Kutcher could send you to an early grave. At least according to a new German study, which found women who marry younger men end up dying earlier than those who choose one around their own age.
The study looked at marriage and death records of two million Dutch citizens and found a woman who marries a man seven to nine years younger than her is 20 percent more likely to die earlier. And if you say "I Do" with someone fifteen years younger? (I'm talking to you, Demi!) That risk soars to more than 30 percent.
Of course, since life's not fair, the reverse is true for sugar daddies, according to the study. They actually have a seven percent chance of living longer by hooking up with a hot young thing who will agree to play nursemaid in their older, bedridden years. (And if they're lucky, even put on the uniform!)
So what's the deal? Researchers claim women are "violating social norms" by marrying younger men and end up suffering "from social sanctions," resulting in a more "stressful life." Sounds like a fancy way of saying your friends may kick you to the curb if you go and get your groove back with a young stud.
Are you doomed to live a lonely- and shortened life because of your choice? The study's researchers actually came right out and said, "The best choice for a woman is to marry a man exactly the same age."

Okay, reality check here. These guys looked at dead people. From the past. I'm really hoping in the current year of 2010 in the good old US of A people are a little more open minded than that. I mean, would you ditch your friend because she found happiness with a younger man? To be honest, anyone who did that to me wouldn't be much of a friend in the first place.
Age is just a number. Isn't it better to marry a man who understands you? Who gets you and supports you emotionally and makes you laugh? A man that makes you feel good about yourself and empowers you to reach your dreams?
If you ask me, that's the kind of guy who'll make you live longer, no matter what his age.
