Men are from Mars and women are from Venus, no really, it's true. We both speak a different language. For instance, I just had a very enlightening conversation with two guys about the dating world. As women, we want to know where we stand in the relationship and how you feel. Then if things aren't going well, we want closure, but never seem to get it from our guy.
How To Get Closure
Why? Well I asked and here's the answer I received, men always want to have the option. They will very rarely cut all ties, because they'd rather always have you on the back burner.
The solution? In this situation, women now have the power and have to make the decision for themselves. If you want to move forward or if you don't, you have to be one to say so. Yes, it would be so much easier if the man would just grab his "cojones" and tell you he's just not that into you, but you'll be waiting a long time before they ever say it to your face. That is why, you have to tell him what you want.
Don't get it twisted though, you can't go around nagging him all the time about leaving socks on the floor. We don't want to be "that girl." This applies when you're dealing with major realtionship troubles.
No Such Thing As Mixed Messages
Here's another pearl of wisdom I obtained from this conversations, there are no mixed messages. This is also a line from He's Just Not That Into You. As women we don't want to hear that because we are the more emotional creatures and don't want to feel that way. By not listening and believing this, you are simply wasting your time on a dead end guy. If he wants to see you and talk to you, he'll move mountains to make sure he does.
An Open Letter to Women
In conjunction with that conversation, a work friend of mine named Sy, insisted I share this open letter to all women who are dating or in a relationship.
Women,
As men we're not very complex at all. We're actually very simple beings. Yes, we want to be loved like women do, but more importantly we love having our egos stroked from time to time. It gives us that proud sense of being important or relevant. Who is more proud than a man? It doesn't take anything away from you being the woman. It actually increases his feelings for you and accents how a man looks at you. Without him even noticing, he starts to return that same treatment back to you but ten times more. THE BIGGEST MISTAKE WOMEN MAKE WHEN DATING MEN IS OVER THINKING WHAT A MAN REALLY WANTS.
Ladies don't fool yourselves. Believe it or not, it has nothing to do with how well that stunning new red dress fits you, or how dazzling your hair looks against the chandelier lights at dinner. All those things are superficial! That same formula of ingredients used to land your Prince charming, are the same ingredients used to keep that man loving you for the rest of your life. Even when all the beauty you once had fades, it won't matter to him because he'll love you for something greater than just your exterior.

Let Your Man Be A Man
Sometimes you need to let your man be a man. I know you can hang up those new curtains without his help, but they need to feel needed, so let him do it for you. Not all the time, but sometimes. This was all very eye opening to me, and I simply had to share. Happy Dating!
