When the Time is Right
We have all heard the saying Men are from Mars women are from Venus. We have all read things like “He’s just not that into you” or “The Rules”. We have all grabbed onto TV shows or movies like “Sex in the City” because we love the idea of the strong independent woman figuring it all out. However, there are a few truths that will never be figured out as long as there is human nature. Man, woman...doesn’t matter. ..love is love and everyone is trying to find it and hold onto it. I don’t care who you are you always want that other half. The one person you can turn to no matter what the situation and know they will be on your side. That one special person to come home after a long day and just have them listen because they will know exactly what to say to make you feel better. Sometimes just looking at that special person can make all your troubles melt away and you can actually feel yourself breathe a sigh of relief just to be near them.
As a society we grab on to those books and movie’s trying to figure it all out...why men and women seem to be so different, and how we can find insight into it. Well here is the thing. No matter what we read or watch or study we will never figure it out because it all has to do with fait and timing; which can’t be figured out. Now I’m no expert, and I don’t pretend to be. However, I am a woman who has had, and seen, my fair share of experiences in dating. The issues are always basically the same. Women want a commitment, men don’t want to give one, women have a hard time trusting men and men give us reason not to trust, Women want to take it to the next level and men are happy with the status quo. Then one day the stars aline and you meet that special man and the commitment and trust all fall into place and the next level just happens naturally. It’s all about the timing. You were finally lucky enough to meet that man that was at the same place you are in life. Ready to take that next step and ready to offer all those things that come with a future.
Now I am sure we have all heard someone say “Girls mature faster than boys”…that unfortunately carries over to adulthood which is why these things seem so hard. In my opinion it is not about being from Mars or Venus its all about the timing. Men just seem to take a little longer to get there is all. But as we have all heard “patience is a virtue”.
The meaning of Serendipity “a fortunate accident”, says it all. Lucky for us we live in one of the most magical cities in the country. As The Standells said “Well I love that dirty water. Oh, Boston, you're my home.” We have a wonderful city at our disposal steeped in history where happy serendipitous accidents are just waiting to happen.
