What's the most common first word spoken?
According to a recent survey conducted in Great Britain, the word 'Dadda' is the winner. The survey conducted by YouGov questioned more than 1000 parents with kids from one to seven years of age.
The most common first word was ''dadda'' or ''dada'', cited by 15% of those questioned. Not far behind was ''mamma'' or ''mama'' mentioned by 10% of parents.
After variations on ''mum'' and ''dad'', the most common first word was ''cat' at 2%. Other top words included “car” and “no”.
Some surprises, a few parents reported unusual first words, such "beer" and "gadget." Really?!!!!
