Trash Bag Resolution

As the New Year is over and resolutions are now a month old -- I'm here to tell you it is still not too late to set some goals. Small pledges can make a difference. If you are determined to do something (different) and incorporate it into your regular routine -- you're resolving to do better, making a lifestyle change for the good. A small transformation today can mean a big difference over time.

I've decided that I will resolve to do one thing a year, then, the following year make another resolution, while keeping at the previous resolutions. For example: in 2009 I resolved to use only cloth napkins -- no more buying paper napkins. In 2010 I began my mission to no-longer buy paper towels. Instead, I bought a large pack of dishrags at the store -- making it easy to clean up messes while still living green. Also, in 2010, I pledged to use re-usable bags (EnviroSax) while shopping at the grocery store or the mall. In 2011, I made the decision to go green a couple of ways 1) Use handkerchiefs {you can find some fun, fancy ones at Pome - my favorite boutique in Denver} and no more purchases tissue boxes. 2) Use a clothes-drying rack. And this year, you wonder? In 2012, I’ve resolved to use biodegradable and compostable trash bags. That way, next year, it’ll be habit and I can resolve to make another lifestyle change.

Cheers to living green and a {new} year of positive lifestyle resolutions.
