Mystery Shopping

Welcome to the crazy world of mystery shopping. This is a fun job, but it is also a REAL job and requires you to be just as committed as if you were clocking in from 9-5 at a physical location. In fact, at times it requires you to be even more committed as you have to go out in the evenings, weekends and even holidays. But, you are in control. So if you know you do not want to go out at night, work weekends, holidays, etc., please do not accept those jobs and disappoint the scheduler on the other end of that job, the company owner counting on you and the client who is looking for that report.  They are all working just like you and have families just like you, be considerate and apply and accept only jobs you are willing to commit to.

I am going to give you some companies to get started with as well as a website to find more companies to apply with.  The companies I list may not have jobs in your area immediately, but they are companies that have jobs all over the United States. So, if they do not show jobs in your area right now, still apply and keep checking their job boards. I recommend having a list of favorite companies saved to your favorites list on your computer so you can easily check the sites at least a few times a day. I recommend starting with companies that do not require heavy, lengthy narratives to start with and I recommend never taking more than one of each type of job until you try one and see if it is a good fit for you. Not everyone likes to do the same types of jobs. I do not like bank jobs or apartment jobs, but they are great jobs pay wise and can help you add money to your bank account without any out of pocket costs.

Now, the companies listed below generally have lower paying jobs. There are several reasons for this. Most of the jobs they offer are simple, require little to no narrative and are easy to report. Some of the companies have such extensive databases of shoppers that they are able to offer lower pay and know they have shoppers who will take the pay. Only you can decide what fair pay is for your time and sometimes you will not know that until you have performed one of the jobs. Read the details of each job; make sure to give yourself enough time looking over the details BEFORE accepting the job. Personally, I will not do a $3.00 or $4.00 job, but it is not my place to tell others what to do.
