April 2012

Actor James Denton, of Desperate Housewives, visited Universal Orlando Resort on April 2nd. He was with his wife and kids when he got wands inside Ollivanders wand shop at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Another Desperate Housewives star was there the previous day. Felicity Huffman was at Universal Orlando Resort on April 1st. She met up with another famous TV housewife, Marge Simpson.

March 2012

Actor Richard Gere and wife, Carey Lowell, vacationed at Universal Orlando Resort. On March 29th the couple experienced several iconic theme park attractions.

On March 15th, supermodel, acress and entrepreneur, Kathy Ireland, posed with Minnie Mouse. Minnie was decked out in St. Patrick's Day themed duds.

On March 14th, Ireland also visited Universal Orlando Resort with her family and friends. She took a spin on Caro-Seuss-El and experienced other whimsical attractions in Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Singer Jordin Sparks posed with Minnie Mouse on March 11th. She was attending Disney's Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine at Walt Disney World Resort. The former American Idol has a new movie coming out this summer called Sparkle.

February 2012

Singer and former American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, visited Magic Kingdom on February 19th taking a photo with Princess Belle and Beast from Beauty and the Beast.

On Valentine's Day, entertainer Paula Abdul posed with Minnie Mouse at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Minnie was wearing her special Valentine's Day dress with white hearts replacing her usual polka dots.

Just a few weeks after her husband visited Walt Disney World, First Lady Michelle Obama made a stop. It was part of a tour to celebrate the second anniversary of her Let's Move! Initiative. She said, “I want to thank Disney for all that they’ve done to support “Let’s Move” and to make sure our kids are eating right and being active,” Obama told the audience before joining Disney Channel and Disney XD stars for the new dance, “The Platypus Walk,” inspired by the hugely popular Phineas and Ferb character Perry the Platypus.

On February 7th, actor and former U.S. army soldier J.R. Martinez visted Universal Orlando Resort. He visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter where he saw a performance by students from the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

Super Bowl XLVI MVP and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning takes a celebratory ride with Mickey Mouse on February 6th at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The celebration at the theme park took place only one day after Manning led his team to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

January 2012

On January 19th, President Obama visited Magic Kingdom. He made a speech to unveil plans to boost international tourism and make the United States the top travel destination.

Actress Uma Thurman visited Magic Kingdom on January 14th. Thurman is the star of films like "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill" and the upcoming film “Bel Ami,” which also stars “Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson. The next day, Thurman visited Universal Orlando. During her visit, she came face-to-face with a mysterious Egyptian guard moments before experiencing the pulse-pounding attraction, Revenge of the Mummy.

December 2011

Actress Ginnfer Goodwin explored The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with friends on December 30th. During her visit, Ginnifer showed off her affinity for the Harry Potter books and films by dressing up in a Hogwarts school robe and a Gryffindor scarf. Ginnifer has previously appeared in movies like "Mona Lisa Smile" and "He's Just Not That Into You" and currently stars in ABC's hit TV series, "Once Upon a Time.

On December 23rd, Universal Orlando Resort hosted actor Josh Hutcherson. During his visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Josh tasted Butterbeer and encountered students from the Durmstrang Institute, one of three schools that compete in the Triwizard Tournament in the Harry Potter books and films. Josh plays Peeta Mellark in the highly anticipated film, "The Hunger Games," due out in March 2012.

The stars were at Magic Kingdom on December 3rd for the taping of the Disney Parks Christmas Parade. Justin Bieber performed songs from his new holiday album. Jennifer Hudson and Cee Lo Green were also there. The parade airs on ABC television stations on Christmas Day.

Actors James and Oliver Phelps who played Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films were at Universal Orlando. They did a Butterbeer toast for the announcement that the popular attraction, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood.

November 2011

Over Thanksgiving weekend lots of stars visited the Disney parks. Actress and activist Maria Bello visited Epcot. She stars as fedora-wearing Detective Jane Timoney on the NBC crime drama “Prime Suspect” and posed for a photo with Duffy the Disney Bear wearing a mouse-eared fedora.

Emmy Award-winning entertainer Wayne Brady and his daughter, Maile, posed with Disney’s Phineas & Ferb characters in front of the holiday tree at Epcot theme park. Brady currently hosts the game show “Let’s Make A Deal” on CBS.

Actor, comedian and animated film voice actor Seth Rogen poses with Disney’s character Rafiki, from “The Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.

Earlier in the month, Yankees baseball player Nick Swisher and wife, Actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher, visited LEGOLAND Florida. During their day at the park, the couple took a stroll through Miniland USA, one of the park’s signature attractions where cities from across the U.S. are recreated and built with millions of LEGO bricks.

October 2011

The starts came out for Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights 21. Among them, members of the legendary rock band Guns N' Roses. DJ Ashba and Frank Ferrer took photos with flesh-rotting scareactors in the Acid Assault scarezone.

Even Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter Gloria Estefan got in on the scary action. She stopped by Winter's Night: The Haunting of Hawthorn Cemetary. Estefan and her family visit Halloween Horror Nights every year - since it started in 1990.

September 2011

Another model sighting at Universal. Is it beauty and the beast? Wait, that's Disney! Tyra Banks had a date with Lady Luck from Halloween Horror Nights.

August 2011

Supermodel and mom Elle Macpherson visited Universal Orlando. During her visit Macpherson and her son Cy, age 8, encountered mysterious Egyptian guards at the entrance to the award-winning Revenge of the Mummy attraction. Elle has been shooting her upcoming, all-new NBC show, “Fashion Star.” Universal Orlando hosted the star of “Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model” and her family on August 24th while they enjoyed a holiday in Orlando.

Actor Atticus Shaffer who plays “Brick” on ABC’s “The Middle,” worked his first-ever summer job at LEGOLAND® Florida. Shaffer tested rides, built LEGO® models and whipped up kid-inspired snacks with the park’s executive chef. LEGOLAND Florida is an all-new theme park that opens on October 15th.

July 2011

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is always popular with stars. In late July, Selena Gomez visited.

Florence + the Machine visited Universal Orlando and raised a glass of Butterbeer at Harry Potter World.

May 2011

Just a few days after winning American Idol, 17-year-old Scotty McCreery posed with Mickey and Minnie Mouse in front of "The American Idol Experience" attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. McCreery was also honored in a parade at the Disney theme park and performed his new song, "I Love You This Big."

The force was strong with celebrities on May 20th, as Disney Hollywood Studios unveiled the new and improved Star Tours ride to the public. Star Wars creator, George Lucas, along with Disney president Bob Iger kicked off the grand opening ceremonies. Anthony Daniels (aka: C3PO) was on hand for the celebration, in addition to lending his voice for the attraction.

On May 6th, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard posed with Chewbacca in front of the soon-to-open "Star Tours - The Adventures Continue" attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Howard was just honored with his third straight NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and finished second in the NBA MVP voting this season.

April 2011

Another pop star made a visit to the parks in April! On April 21st, Ke$ha posed with The White Rabbit from the animated classic Alice in Wonderland.

The day after her concert in Orlando, Lady Gaga visited the Magic Kingdom. On April 16th, she posed for a photo with the Evil Queen from Snow White.

Christina Aguilera was back in the mouse house. She visited Disney's Animal Kingdom with her son Max on April 11th. Christina's got a past with Disney. In the early 1990's, she starred on The New Mickey Mouse Club that was taped at Walt Disney World.

March 2011

Jesse Tyler Ferguson from the ABC hit show Modern Family visited Universal Studios and posed for photos with Woody Woodpecker.

The main character from Hop (E.B.) was hopping around Universal Studios in anticipation of his new movie.

Mindless Behavior visited the Orlando-area on March 3rd making a stop at Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios. Mindless Behavior will be touring in the U.S. and Canada this month with Janet Jackson. They tweeted, "So exited to go to Disney World everyone's first time. Wish me luck keisha's making me go on Tower of Terror :)princeton."

The HP Field House was dedicated on March 3rd at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Attending the dedication were some sports stars. Pictured from left to right is: U.S. Women's Soccer legend Mia Hamm, Mickey Mouse, Ken Potrock, senior vice president of Disney Sports Enterprises, and Jason Witten, NFL All-Pro tight end for the Dallas Cowboys. The HP Field House is a 165,000-square-foot multi-sport venue.

February 2011

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer visited the roller coaster named after the band on February 25th. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios is a high-speed, indoor roller coaster features Aerosmith music. Kramer stopped for a photo with Goofy.

On February 23rd Tony Dovolani danced with Belle at Epcot. Dovolani is one of the professional dancers from the ABC-TV series Dancing With The Stars. The two danced outside the Fance pavilion. You'll see Dovolani dancing on TV again soon when Dancing With The Stars has its season premiere March 21st.

iCarly star and singer, Jenette McCurdy, visited Universal Orlando on February 22nd. She tweeted about her adventure, "Just spent a day at Hogwarts in Orlando, Florida. I cried during the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride." She also tweeted, "Also spent a while in Honeydukes. The woman employee said, "have a wand-er-ful day". I said, 'you floo.'" McCurdy visited Honeydukes (at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) for some sweets and rode the Incredible Hulk coaster with her brother, and sister.

On February 13th, Actress/Singer Vanessa Hudgens posed with the "Beast" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This beauty is co-starring in the move "Beastly" which is in theaters in March.

That same day, medical expert and author Dr. Ian Smith, who co-stars on the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Fit Club," posed with Nurse Minnie Mouse at Disney's Hollywood Studios. He's on vacation with his family at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Jon Stewart was seen racing around the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway at Magic Kingdom in early February. He was there to celebrate his daughter Maggie's fifth birthday. In the photo, you see Jon, Maggie and his six-year-old son Nate. He also spent some time at Zonko's at Universal Studios.

The day after his team won the Super Bowl, the game's MVP Aaron Rodgers make good on his "I'm going to Disney World" promise and visited Magic Kingdom. The Green Bay Packers QB rode down Main Street with another MVP - Mickey Mouse.

January 2011

Last month, there was a big celebration to christen the newest Disney cruise ship, The Disney Dream. On January 19th, Oscar-winning Actress and Grammy-Award winning singer, Jennifer Hudson, served as the ship's Fairy Godmother at the christening ceremony. The ship's maiden voyage was January 26th out of Port Canaveral.

On January 8th, the Today Show team posed with Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Al Roker, Meredith Vieira and Natalie Morales were in town for the Walt Disney World Half Marathon. The trio ran in the race. The Walt Disney World Marathon was the following day. More than 17,000 runners competed in the race, running through all four theme parks.

December 2010

In December, A hot, young couple was seen at Space Mountain. Actor/Singer Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers and Twilight star Ashley Greene visited Magic Kingdom on December 29th.

Also on December 29th, Actor Blair Underwood and his family came to Magic Kingdom.  His wife, Desiree, snapped a photo of Underwood and their kids - daughter Brielle and sons Blake and Paris. Right now, Blair Underwood is playing President Elias Martinez on the NBC show The Event. So it was fitting that he stopped for a photo in front of "The Hall of Presidents".

Underwood and his family visited Universal Orlando, too. He and his son stopped for a photo with another famous father and son, Homer and Bart Simpson.

Actor Daniel Dae Kim snapped a photo with Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. Kim currently stars in Hawaii Five-o and was previously on Lost. He visited Disney's Hollywood Studios on December 28th.

Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle celebrated their first wedding anniversary on December 19th. They spent their first anniversary in the Cinderella Castle Suite at the Magic Kingdom. They also got a photo with Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Also seen at Magic Kingdom in December, Nolan Gould. He's one of the kids from the hit ABC show  Modern Family. The 12-year-old posed for a photo with Stitch of Lilo and Stitch.

On December 3rd, the stars were at the park for the taping of Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade which airs on ABC on Christmas. Ryan Seacrest is hosting from Walt Disney World and Nick Cannon hosts from Disneyland. Mariah Carey performed Oh Santa and All I Want For Christmas is You.

November 2010

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas visited Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World in late November. The couple's children - 10-year-old Dylan and 7-year-old Carys - were at the parks with them. The couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in November.

Another happy couple was at Walt Disney World in November. Actor Brian Austin Green and actress Megan Fox took a souvenir photo in front of the castle at the Magic Kingdom. Green and Fox were married in June.
