Rainboots over Stilettos at FNO Georgetown | Fun Stuff
Neither hell nor high water could stop DC's fashion fiends from getting their fix at Fashion's Night Out Georgetown. Shoppers happily traded their stilettos for trusty, yet chic, rain boots to brave the downpour Thursday night.
After shopping the likes of Hu’s Wear & Shoes, Urban Chic and Cusp, shoppers took a mid-shopping break at the Brightest Young Things’ (tented!) lounge at Dean & DeLuca with live music, cool refreshments and wine tastings.
One lucky couple beat out 49 others for the chance to win their dream wedding. In the (tented!) Get Hitched competition, bride-to-be Kyosha Johnson scarfed down five Georgetown Cupcakes, caught a bouquet with the correct color ribbon, and crafted the best wedding dress toilet paper could make. Check out her thoughts on winning here. During the competition, she had the tunes of 10-year old spinning phenom, DJ Beauty and the Beatz to spur her along.
Fashionistas might make strange bedfellows, but they teamed up at dining hot-spot Citronelle for a fashion show in the lobby of the Latham Hotel. The fashion party, Vintage en Vogue, featured apparel from Banana Republic’s luxury collection, while MyDCStyle.com’s April Jones Firoozabadi shared her expert fashion tips and techniques.
The popular (and strong) pedicabs made a return to Georgetown FNO for the night, peddling shoppers and their loot between shops and restaurants.
We’re already looking forward to next year.
