Easy on the Eyes: Favorite Male Athletes

With the Olympic spirit sweeping the world, all eyes are on the athletes as they work their hardest to succeed in what they’ve been training for all this time. And it’s only expected that personal favorites arise, based on skill, personality, and, well, to be frank, looks! Here are my top three male Olympic athletes who won medals to my heart:

  1. Gold: Nathan Adrian – USA – Swimming …This guy’s body is not the only reason he is number one on my top five list. Apparently, he spent his down time in the Olympic trials watching Disney’s Brave. He looks like that and enjoys watching Disney movies?! Okay, I think I found Prince Charming’s real-life counterpart. He kind of looks like it too. Except he’s real, which makes him all the better.

  1. Silver: Aaron Ramsey – Team GB – Football ...He's actually from Wales, but this popular footballer is currently representing Team GB in the 2012 London Olympics. His decision to join the team has caused quite the stir, with some critics saying that being Welsh but playing for Team GB, along with two other youngmen, will "place the independence of their national team in doubt". Regardless of what these critics are saying as well as other's who claim that a "premiership star" shouldn't participate in the games, Ramsey stands tall and proud in his uniform. Looking mighty fine doing so, as well.

  1. Bronze: Pierre Yves – France – Gymnastics …Slightly more on the less well-known side of the spectrum, that takes nothing away from this Frenchman. Men’s gymnastics have always been one of my favorite sports to watch during the Olympics, and that holds 100% true with this man. Albeit, I just recently discovered him in all his French glory, I think of his inclusion into this coveted list of mine a given. Honestly, he’s a business man, snowboarder, and film lover. That gets an overall ten from me!

Now, time for you all to tell us! Who are your 2012 Olympic favorites?

Welcome!
