Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow! | Great Escapes

Wishing for a little dose of winter to help get you into the holiday spirit? Snow and an ice slide are just a few of the festive things you'll experience at the Nick Hotel's Let It Snow event in Orlando.

Each night, one of the resort's pools is transformed into a winter wonderland. Snow falls over guests as they swim or sit poolside sipping hot cocoa (festive grown-up drinks are available, too). Fire pits help keep everyone warm and cozy because it can get a little chilly around here at night. The 80-foot long ice slide next to the pool is popular with kids of all ages.

There are plenty of fun photo opportunities with Santa Claus as well as favorite Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer.

The Let It Snow experience extends beyond the Oasis pool area. There's an interactive holiday show starring SpongeBob, Dora and other Nick friends. Kids and parents are chosen from the audience to participate in the 12 Days of Nickmas. One lucky kid even gets slimed! The show included sassy songs like "Don't Be A Jerk".

This special event debuted last year. The Nick Hotel tells us that it was so popular that they decided to make it an annual thing.

Let It Snow takes place at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort through January 2nd. If you book the Let It Snow Vacation Package you get early access to the ice slide, priority seating to the holiday show, mugs for free hot chocolate and coffee and more cool stuff.
