Thanks so much for all your great comments ! I live in New England and it seems like ski hills are motivated to get you to come this year. I've heard specials advertised on the radio for different slopes all week. One even has shuttles running to the train station to pick you up so you can take public transportation ! Wachusett Mountain is even offering a "text for deals" feature on its website:

According to Mary, there are numerous wasys to enjoy a skiing holiday without emptying your bank account. The trick is to shop around and often, and buy the essential extras before you leave your home. The main skiing operators are falling over themselves to get you on their slopes. Brochure prices are not as fixed as they might seem. Always bargain before you book.
