About the Author
I am 31-years-old and live with my partner and our two crazy doggies in the hills of Northwest Portland. I've been a Portland resident now for four years after growing up in California. I will always be a California girl at heart, but I absolutely love all that Oregon has to offer.
I live mere minutes away from Portland's famous Forest Park, where I take my border collie/golden retriever and pug for hikes on a weekly basis. One of my goals since moving to Oregon is to do 60 hikes within 60 miles of Portland and I am currently a third of the way there! I am also a very active softball player and when I'm not fighting injuries from that I enjoy jogging for fitness.
Another passion I have for Portland is to explore the amazing array of local food and wine abundant in the area. The degree of culinary creativity here is something not to be missed, and it goes hand-in-hand with Oregon's award-winning wines.
When I am not hiking, dining or perusing the farmer's markets for fresh ingredients to cook with, I am working to pay the bills in a zero-stress career; helping match wine and food for customers at a local wine shop! I absolutely love trying new wines and helping people find the perfect bottle to fit their tastes and what cuisine they need to compliment.
I am excited to share my food and wine adventures with Galtime!
