I'm María José. That's Spanish for Mary Jo. I answer to those, María or MJ.

I am a blogger and PR. I have been blogging over at Mummy's Busy World since April 2010. Well, it's really my three year old son Little M who does the talking and giving you a kid's view of this whole parenting thing.

I am a Chilean, raised in the USA with a hint of Britishness mamá living in the Washington, DC area after six years in the UK. My husband and I decided it would be best to move back and be closer to our families and of course, for the free babysitting. However I consider myself a true Londoner and my grammar is all sorts of mixed up.

I have an MA in Public Relations and Public Communications from the University of Westminster and I worked as a PR & Social Media Manager in an agency in London's Soho right up until we left.

We are now what our expat friends call "in transition" and readjusting to our new lives Stateside in DC suburbs. However, the 'burbs and I are not getting along too well and I'm kinda itching for some city living (and shopping!)

Very Busy Mamá {life, beauty & style}  is my space to share things that we as mothers and women love such as fashion, beauty, fitness but often put aside when the children come along. I no longer have the disposable income I had BLM (Before Little M) or the same body. I talk about working with what you got, how to shop your own closet and staying stylish on a MAJOR budget. Looking good doesn't' have to cost a fortune.
